When I enter a “stop loss order only” in the brackets, then enter a market order (buy or sell) to close my position, can we have the stop loss order automatically cancel?
I have been woefully ignored by Tradovate on this subject. Best to just leave the ‘Exit at Mkt & Cxl’ option visible in the DOM between the Buy Mkt and Sell Mkt buttons and hit it to exit the position. This will cancel all working orders and close the position. If you close the position with a limit order, you will have to be diligent at knowing that your SL order is still active and can get filled until you cancel it.
