Hey guys,
I’m running into an issue trying to pass multiple Apex 300k eval accounts (20 total, so 6M combined notional). The plan was to copy trade all of them at the max contract size (35 each → 700 total contracts).
Here’s the problem:
-
In Tradovate, when I select all 20 accounts and set allocation to Equal Quantity per Account, the platform forces the total order quantity to be a multiple of 700.
-
However, the order ticket input box maxes out at 100 contracts, so I can’t actually type in “700” to make the trade go through.
-
If I enter anything less (like 100), Tradovate rejects it and gives me the error: “Total order quantity should be a multiple of 700.”
-
So effectively, I can’t get the system to send 35 contracts into each account, even though that’s within the Apex 300k max per-account rules.
Screenshots attached show:
-
The error message (“must be multiple of 700”).
-
The Tradovate order ticket that caps at 100 contracts.
What I’ve Tried:
-
Using Equal Allocation mode → requires 700 total input (blocked by 100 limit).
-
Selecting all accounts in the allocation manager.
-
Confirmed Apex rules allow 35 per account, and technically 700 total across 20 accounts is fine.
