OrderFlow Zones — GEX-Rider

OrderFlow Zones — GEX-Rider is an advanced Order Flow indicator for Tradovate designed to automatically detect and visualize institutional trading activity directly from footprint/order flow data. The indicator identifies volume imbalances, absorption, and exhaustion zones, helping traders read real market participation and dynamic support/resistance areas based on aggressive buying and selling activity.

Main Features

  • Stacked Imbalances
    Automatically detects consecutive Ask vs Bid imbalances, highlighting areas where aggressive buyers or sellers dominate the market.

  • Single Imbalances
    Optional detection of isolated high-intensity imbalances for more sensitive microstructure analysis.

  • Absorption Detection
    Identifies institutional absorption when high traded volume produces limited price movement, often signaling defended levels and potential reversals.

  • Exhaustion Detection
    Detects progressive volume exhaustion, useful for identifying weakening momentum and potential trend reversals.

  • Mitigation Tracking
    Zones remain active until price revisits and mitigates them. Mitigated zones can optionally be removed automatically to keep charts clean and efficient.

  • Performance Optimized
    Includes intelligent historical zone management (maxBarsBack) and memory optimization to prevent lag even during extended trading sessions or multi-chart setups.

How to Interpret the Zones

  • Buy Imbalance Zones
    Areas where aggressive buyers dominated the order flow. These often act as dynamic support zones.

  • Sell Imbalance Zones
    Areas of aggressive selling pressure. These commonly behave as dynamic resistance zones.

  • Absorption Zones
    Highlight possible institutional absorption and defended price levels.

  • Exhaustion Zones
    Indicate weakening momentum and potential market reversals.

My Favorite set-up is 20R in ES, bid ask chart. indicator is very demanding.. need some attention to improve performance

Hey,

Thank’s lot, now it work, but i change a lot of parameters and can’t find a way to reset the originals parameters…

remove it and add it again could work, I just shared and update that seems is better performance, we loose the fading / gradient effect but looks is more stable
