Display a different timeframe to the right of your chart’s timeframe. You can choose between a couple of pre-defined settings, 1 hour, 4 hours, Daily, Weekly, or enter by minutes.
I’ve fixed the Weekly preset. It wasn’t being calculated correctly. This has been rectified. ![]()
Hi. This is great and I am using this. I find that the 4 hour preset does not seem to properly work I use it on ES and NQ. Can you check and confirm for me?
Could be, Tradovate isn’t exactly “development” friendly. I will check it and reply as soon as…
I think this fixed it. I don’t know how you get the update, but the yellow box is what you should see in the dialog. Below that is a screenshot, looks pretty good, the indicator on a 5min set to 4hr and an actual 4hr chart on the right
/**
* How to Use
* For CME futures (Crude Oil, ES, NQ, etc.):
* Session Start UTC = 23 → For EST (winter) — 6 PM ET = 23:00 UTC
* Session Start UTC = 22 → For EDT (summer) — 6 PM ET = 22:00 UTC
* Since we’re currently in December (EST), the default of 23 should work. The 4hr bars will now start at:
* 6 PM ET (23:00 UTC)
* 10 PM ET (03:00 UTC)
* 2 AM ET (07:00 UTC)
* 6 AM ET (11:00 UTC)
* 10 AM ET (15:00 UTC)
* 2 PM ET (19:00 UTC)
**/
This looks good on the 4 HR now, Thanks I think the daily is good also but the weekly seems to be completely off. Not sure if this is due to Tradivate not even able to display weekly and monthly charts. Would it be hard to fill out the candles with colors? Not a big deal and it works but just wondering
Filling the candles is really funky. A Tradovate thing.
ok no problem. what you have is already very helpful. Thanks Again
hi there again. I have been using this a lot it is a great tool. Thanks. You have fixed the 4HR timeframe for me a couple of months ago. I have started also adding the Daily TF and noticed that it starts at 7pm EST. I tried to adjust the offset but that does not seem to make a difference. Let me know if you have time and can make another adjustment for me.
