I have a couple of suggestion:
- DTPro has a nice feature in the DOM which is a breakeven button (in the header of the DOM along the Buy/Sell buttons)which lifts the stop to a breakeven and if configurable it could even include for example Breakeven + x Price rather than necessarily using the software to do the work. It seems that flexibility in fast market might be good.
- Give the user the option to have or not have the highlighted (yellow) current price in the DOM. Mine constantly sticks/pauses and can provide a misleading conclusion about where you are regarding price. It can stick/pause for as much as 5 levels of price before it corrects. The price itself moves correctly and is colored anyway I fine ithe yellow blocked price distracting when it sticks.
I would agree with this. For the love of all that’s good and kind, please add a BE button. It seems like this is a long-time requested feature. I am also a former DTPro user and miss the Breakeven button. My only change to the above mentioned request is to not have it as part of the drop down features but make it a stand alone button. In fact, I don’t like the drop down feature at all because it takes too much time to select which feature I want to use in the dropdown. Make individual buttons on the DOM: Breakeven, Cancel All, Exit All. Even better, next to the BE button, give the user a box for “add/minus X” ticks. So it can be “BE +1.” But heck, I’ll be happy with just a BE button (along with Exit and Cancel All buttons).

In addition it has been my experience that if you engage the drop down to change the function, whatever you choose, will be immediately executed, which may not be what you had in mind for that exact moment, but was only wishing to get ready to execute that function not actually execute it at that very moment. I agree with bdmusic completely…
Yes, please add this! Motivewave also has a breakeven button and it is very useful. It should bring any current resting orders up to breakeven or if no orders are open, it should create a new order at BE price.
Well, I’ll copy/paste this in here for you huys, too. You’re not going to get help or a response. And all the good community coders that were in here in the beginning are long gone.
Copy paste below…my response to someone in another thread…
From earlier:
Don’t bother requesting. This forum and platform was given up on when Tradovate sold to Ninja for their customers. I’ve had an acct with TVate from the begining, and am grandfathered in with a couple things, there hasn’t been an update in 2 years or more, no one from Tradovate/Ninja visits this forum anymore. Brian Weiss has “new position” with Ninja…idk what happen to Greg…TVate’s main coder/IT guy that was always in here. It’s a dead forum. I’m just letting you guys know so you don’t waste your time wishing and hoping. Too bad someone couldn’t pin this post…but if anyone wants to copy/paste when someone posts a new thread, or even start a new thread with this post, feel free. It probably won’t help much, but maybe someone from the company will see it. In fact, the last time I contacted live “help” from the chart browser, they didn’t even know the forum existed. And when they told me they weren’t aware of any problems, I pointed them to this forum where there are complaint after complaint of the same thing…and then I never heard back from them. There were a bunch of really good coders building great indicators that gave up and moved on after awhile. It had promise in the beginning. Perhaps that was their business model, build a decent client base, then sell the Co.?
The platform has just gotten impossible to use, and the fact they no longer are compatible, or connect with Sierra Chart, is an another issue. I suspect because Ninja owns them now and would like you to use that platform. Fact is, for me, when blips or server connections start to cost you money, or spending a half hour everyday trying to get indicators to load, or not there even when you switch timeframes…it’s just time to move on…
