Add Break Even +

The breakeven offset feature isn’t showing on the IOS app. I want to make it mirror my desktop settings. There is only profit trigger, no breakeven offset, please help!!!

yes, need this for sure.

please allow for negative ticks from entry price. very handy.

It would be nice to use shortcut to “move stop to Break-Even”

Lets say price is going to my target, but did not hit my Auto Break-Even and now is going back to my entry and I want to quickly move my stop to break-even. I could get out of the trade, but it is better to hold and see, so having the option to decide when to move stop to break-even or “move target to last price” would be 2 nice things.

Good afternoon, I am a little bit confused on the wording for the breakeven offset function. I prefer not to use something I don’t fully understand but I am interested on the BE function. Could it be explained a little bit simpler? Let me provide a scenario. I have an OCO bracket of 10 SL and 30 TP. Once it reaches 15 ticks into the TP, I want my SL to be moved to BE+1 so then I would be 1 tick into profit. Is that what the BE offset does? Would I set BE offset to 15 ticks just so when I am 15 ticks into profit, my stop loss moves accordingly? Just want clarification please

There are 3 paramaters that I tested and this is how it works in my experience. Profit Trigger and Offset.
Let’s say you enter at 4,000 for the ES.
If you have break even on with a profit trigger of 5 ticks, then your Stop loss will automatically be moved to your break even point, which is 4,000, considering Offet=0.
If you put the Offset to be 4 ticks, then it will move up to BE+ 4 ticks your new SL location. If you put a Negative number for the offset -4, then it’d be placed 4 ticks below your break even price. The break even price might be different if you average costs changes as it gets dynamically calculated.
the only thing I don’t like and I don’t know why, it is I get slippage with a fast market.

Ok so let me repeat what you said to make sure I understand. Let’s say i have a 10SL and a 30TP for ES at 4000. If i set profit trigger at 15 ticks and BE offset at +1, once my ES trade is 15 ticks into profit, my profit trigger is hit and my stop loss is moved to BE+1 so in the end, if my ES trade starts to go against me and it hits my SL, i will only gain 1 tick. assuming no slippage. Just wanna make sure I understand this correctly.

I have been requesting them to add negative option to the BE offset for months, I did not know you could just type in a negative value i thought you had to use the arrow keys. Thanks for leading me to the discovery of this.

You are correct on your repeat. if your Break even target of 15 ticks was triggered it will move your Stop Loss to Break Even plus one tick, which by your example on the ES would be 4000.25 if you were going long, and 3999.75 if you were going short.

The OCO order would look something like this.

I do suggest practicing using the OCO with break Even with your Demo account or better yet in the Replay feature so you can control the market to make your testing go faster.

Not sure if everyone has trouble with slippage, but with my SL, they slip by 1-2 ticks for some reason. I have to use Limit Stop Losses

I have been trying to type in negative numbers into the offest and it just keeps jumping back to zero…how did you get this to work, please?

Thank you.

There is a new Thread requesting this feature, posting over there and adding your Vote might help them finally get to it. Breakeven - ticks

But the reason the the negative number works for me might be just an exploit on the Mac desktop version of the Tradovate trader app.

Please fix this feature. It’s a great feature that makes Tradovate stand apart of the other mobile platforms. But it’s been broken for a while now.

A stop market will turn your stop in a market order and you will be filled at best possible price and “slippage” is normal. Just be aware that using a stop limit order that your order may not be filled at all if price continues to move past that and never returns.
