Why is there no report showing the profit or loss based on going Long or Short. I thought Tradovate was primarily a futures trader platform but perhaps I am wrong because futures trades always want to know there statistics of Long versus Short trades. Or course I can take a lot of time to analyze each trade by looking at the entry versus exit and trying to ignore all the trades that were canceled versus filled, but ain’t that what computers and reports are for.
The current performance reporting screen is good. I would also like long/short metrics added to it.
The questions that it would answer:
- Did I take more long than short trades during this period? Pie chart.
- Were my long trades profitable in aggregate? Chart like P&L DISTRIBUTION for closed long trades.
- Were my short trades profitable in aggregate? Chart like P&L DISTRIBUTION for closed short trades.
