If I have a personal Tradovate account that meets the criteria to gain access to an API key, can I use that API key to access my propfirm accounts with Apex as well? Even though they are Performance accounts, technically they are demo accounts. I am only wanting to be able to pull account data to create reports.
I believe that the answer is no. At least, I have not found a way to do anything API related with prop firm accounts.
No, typically, a personal Tradovate API key won’t access Apex prop firm accounts. You’d likely need a separate key or permission from Tradovate and Apex.
I’m looking for the same feature. Eg, A developer API key to be used across any/many Tradovate accounts.
Has there been any movement on this? I loved how project X allowed API for all the prop firms almost seemed like a no brainer. they made money off the subscription ect. Project X is now only using TopStep going forward so we are back to begging tradeovate to allow us an API key to whatever propfirm we have.
personal api keys generally dont carry over to prop accounts i use pickmytrade for this it takes tv alerts over webhook n places them into apex n other prop accounts no coding
