Functions included in Version 1.210205.0

  • Added: Trader. We continue to build out our Community functions to make it easier for users to share configurations with other Tradovate users. Users can now share a number of different configurations with the community. These include: Workspaces, Chart Templates, and Color Schemes
  • Added: Charts. Hotkeys have been added to select individual Stop Order Types (charts). Currently, this functionality is only available in the Chart module. We will be making this available in the DOM and other modules in upcoming releases
  • Added: Custom Indicators. Allow sharing obfuscated indicators. Some partners did not wish to allow other users to view proprietary code/algorithms, we will be introducing an option to allow these partners to obfuscate the code from the user’s view. This is not “on” by default for all users, please contact Tradovate Support for more information.

Bugfixes:

  • Under some volatile conditions, the DOM painted incorrectly

To access this new functionality:

Under the Workspace Manager there will be a “Share” icon that appears on hover next to the currently active Workspace:

When clicked a modal will be shown with the current workspace name, and a prebuilt description based on the workspace’s contents and theme. This content can be edited by the user:

Under the Color Scheme configuration area there will be a “Share” icon that appears on hover next to the currently active Color Scheme:

When clicked a modal will be shown with the current Color Scheme name, and a prebuilt description based on the Color Scheme’s settings. This content can be edited by the user:

Under the Chart Template configuration area there will be a “Share” icon that appears on hover next to the currently active Chart Template:

IMPORTANT NOTE: As with any sharing, all of these new functions allow:

  • Only Me - Hidden from others
  • Anybody with a Link - Anyone who has the link will be able to access this share
  • Public link - This share will appear in the Tradovate Community

As an extension of this new sharing function, The Community can now be filtered for different types of shared items:

In addition to Indicators, users can now search for Color Schemes, Module Templates (charts for now), and Workspaces here to discover items that have been shared with the community.
