# New Day Margin Values for E-Mini S&P?

Hi all, I noticed that the E-mini S&P contract day margin jumped from $500 to $2000 - is there a reason for this? Is it due to CPI volatility? I just traded an ESU contract this morning, so I was suprised when I attempted to trade again a few minutes ago that the order wouldn’t go through. Is there a place we can get some sort of (near) real time updates (via email or similar) for these changes?

Huh. Now it’s back to $500 again already. I’m guessing it’s because of CPI.
