# I don't understand their margin requirements

I guess I don’t understand their margin requirements. I traded 2 micros and got this alert before market close in a funded account.

You recently triggered the following notification message:  
_Reminder: Today is a holiday with an early market close. Equities: Markets close at 12:15 PM CST. Ensure your net liquidation value exceeds the required initial margin for your open positions. Your account must be properly funded by 12:00 PM CST to avoid liquidation. Nymex and Comex: Markets close at 1:45 PM CST. Similarly, your net liquidation value must exceed the required initial margin, and your account must be funded by 1:30 PM CST to prevent liquidation. Please take the necessary steps to ensure compliance with these requirements._

Anyone want to take the time to explain?

Good day,  
Trading during different times is broken up into different segments and each segment can require a different funding requirement. In some cases trading during the day might require a different funding requirement than trading over night. It was just a warning to ensure your account meets the overnight funding requirements.
