Hey Guys,

I opened a NinjaTrader account and want to use the API’s. On the official documentation it shows that NinjaTrader uses Tradovate. So I made an account here which is linked to my NinjaTrader account and shows the required minimum balance for access to API’s.

However when I check the add-ons page in Tradovate, I don’t see any API option. I reached out to support and they told me to create a different Tradovate account and fund that one instead. I have a few questions that I’m hoping people here might know the answer to:

1. What is the relationship between Tradovate and NinjaTrader?
2. Do you even need NinjaTrader at all if they don’t have a specific API?
3. If my balances are linked between the two platforms, why do I need to make a whole new Tradovate account and fund it separately?
4. If that really is my only option, is there a possibility of transferring the funds from one account to the other or do I just need to withdraw from one and deposit again?

Thanks in advance for your help

There is a separate tab for API access in the Tradovate settings. It is not listed under subscription tab. It should also be in the add-ons tab. It is $25/month.

You should just be able to login w Ninja credentials and see your account. [https://youtu.be/EEtLlKoR4cs?is=OB8ygF\_EzVR3rymD](https://youtu.be/EEtLlKoR4cs?is=OB8ygF_EzVR3rymD)

This vid shows how to connect them.
